So I mentioned on my previous entry, I'm going to talk about the concert and my personal view on it. On that night, I have seen and heard a lot of feedbacks from the concert, Mr Lim has heard a lot of comments too. He requested me to post this entry as a 'feedback form' and hopefully some of his club members will have a look on it. So here how it goes..

First of all, let's talk about the beginning part which was the dancing performance, I know this has nothing to do with the SCC but seriously if they really can't dance that well, I think is best not to ask them to perform at all. I strongly believe that those they are newbie to dancing cos if this kind of standard is considered one of their best, there will be no doubt why they can't win in any competitions.

Now let's talk about the PA group and there's only one word I can comment on which is 'LAN',
in Chinese it means lousy! I have a very high expectation on this particular group because last time when I performed in my secondary school, they did a very very BAD job! my microphone was spoiled and after adjusting for two times, they didn't change a new one for me and just stand there watching me like a idiot who tried his best to sing but ended up being a joker in front of the whole school. Actually I never blame the audience at all because apart from the teachers, most of them are just kids after all. Just always remember this, professional performance comes from the appreciation of professional audience during the show.

Alright back to the main topic again, one serious problem that the PA group has made was the sound effect tunning from the music instruments and microphones. The SCC definitely has good instruments and a few strong singers too, but one problem that I figured out was the sound bass effect wasn't strong enough and the voice wasn't 'concentrated' enough. My meaning of 'concentrated' is that when the voice is produced from the singer, the sound impact should be 'group' together rather than running all over the place, if you are inside a sound prove and Dolby surround theater, the impact is even more powerful. However that night what I heard was tiny cracking sounds coming out from the speaker and it's like being 'disperse' all over the lecture hall. Mr Lim told me that this lecture hall has one of the best audio system in whole Np, well surely I have doubts about this sentence..

It's a very sad thing when you have a good music and great voice and yet getting destroyed by this kind of of stupid issue!

Now let's move on to the singing part. Seriously saying, some of the SCC members can't sing. Take Mr Lim's song as a example, the lyrics was great and no doubt that his partner Angeline has done a great in composing a touching rhythm for it. BUT.. it was completely spoil by the selected singer for that song. She really need to practice a lot on her 'La Ying' and 'Gao Ying' areas, the first part of the song was still fine but she totally lost control of the whole thing when it comes to the most important part which is the chorus. Not only that, some other singers has also made mistakes such as 'Qiang Pai', not following the rhythm flow and not having a good voice control in them.

There's two person that I wanna praise about is the SCC president Tiffany and the talented guy Steve Soh, very confident, nice voice and great talents in them, that's the people we will want to see from a performance. I heard from Mr Lim that Tiffany has taken part in 'Jue Due Superstar' before, too bad that she couldn't get into the finalist because I believe that if she can get into top 20, she might have a chance to replace Kelly Poo. Somehow I saw quite a few similarities between them.

When comes to Rock Music in Singapore, there are mainly three group of people playing it.
First are those Caucasians from other countries and due to their living style, they play rock music like a bunch of crazy freaks with no limit.
Second would be the Malay group, they are more 'open' in their way of doing things and they will play rock music in a very explosive way but with certain limit.
Last will be the Chinese people, one very common sight that I have seen in most of them is that they playing rock music just like playing typical love songs.
One advise that I will give, if you are crazy and 'open' enough, don't play any rock music. If you are not even deeply in love with it, just forget about the whole thing. Don't play any dull music that will make people sleep.

It's damn obvious that the preparation for that night wasn't good enough, the organizer is really doing a bad job for the performance planning. Just take the positioning as a example, where got people put the piano in that kind of position whereby the performer backside facing the audience? It totally ridicules and rude alright, have some sense please.. The only feeling that the concert gave me was like going to a 'KTV session' ?? There's more problem in the organizing which I shall not further comment about it.

Most of the composing parts was done quite well but I personally think that there's some improvement to be make in certain songs. One of the song writer is obviously in-direct copying from Zhou Jie Lun songs, I do have a question for her, if zhou jie lun doesn't exist at all, is she really that capable to write out all these lyrics?

I have another suggestion for them for their next year concert, have a duet love songs in the performance, compose something like 'I Still Believe' will be great, come out with some sweet and happy songs instead all those 'love love love' songs and have only 1 or 2 rock musics will do.

All the above are just my personal views and is not against anyone from the SCC. But trust me that I really seen the effort in all of them and that's a very touching part in all performance. It's not about the money issue, but is about enjoying every part of the music and seeing a professional performance from them. Nothing is best but you can give your best and nothing is more satisfying that giving the best.

School is reopening tomorrow which is also a arrival of 2.2 second term. Time flies and hopefully I'm able to achieve a good result during this term. Well nothing much to say now.. Oh anyway regarding my previous post which talked about the NP SCC concert, Mr Lim has asked me to post out all my comments and opinions on my next entry. Hopefully he can ask some SCC members to view it then. I guarantee that it will be some good advises for them.

29 Dec

Alright so I just came back from 'Ngee Ann Poly Song Composing Club's Annual Concert' and had a great supper with Weibin and his group of aunties friends. Lots of things to talk about and comments regarding the concert, I'm not going to grade on how well the concert is but seriously saying, I think there's a lot of improvement to be make if they really want to produce a good performance in future.

What can I say..
The world is really small alright, just now saw Soon Eng and Shi Han at the concert too and I was a bit surprise that their friend Ivy is also a member of the 'SCC' and friend of Weibin as well. Just like what my friends told me before, it's a world full of friends and life will never get bored with so many friends around!

Hmm I guess you are doing quite well now and hope you take good care especially your health, sorry that just now didn't have a good talk with you, when got time I'll go down to PM Bugis to pay a visit and buy you all some chocolates bah..LOL

Hey guys, sorry can't meet up with you all for the pub. I didn't know that the concert will ended up so late, next time k..

I really hate to say this but my passion for music is no longer present anymore. In the past I thought that life is truly enjoyable through composing music and performances. However all those incidents that happened along the way has force me to give up hopes on music. We have to face reality! That's what many people always told me.. But what's wrong in having a dream? Haiz.. Really sad to talk about this sometimes you see..
Well I'm still not sure about this, after listening to the concert earlier on and seeing every part of their efforts, I question myself with one thing.. 'Am I giving up my dream so easily at such a early stage?' Should I search for my happiness and passion in music again? So many doubts...

I Love My Dreams & I Believe My Passion For It
It Can Be Funny Sometimes
But Is Also Confusing Too
Giving Up In Dreams Is So Easy
But Finding It
Might Never Be Seen
Choosing Reality Or A Touching Part Of Me
How Much Do You Really Believe In Dreams?

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Alright I came across this website from YAHOO that tells about how men should approach the ladies in a way that they won't end up in a awkward outcome. Most of the time we always think that the best way to approach a woman is through some sweet and clever line, however it's not how you talk that will matter but rather is on how you take your action. The following content is a bit long but I believe is quite worth to have a look especially for all the guys who like to approach those hot ladies out there... LOL

  1. Walk with confidence. When you see a woman that you are attracted to, walk right over. Stand up straight and walk over slowly but with confidence. Make sure your chest is puffed out and your posture is looking strong and not slumped over. Keep eye contact as you approach. Do not hesitate. Most men linger in the background before they approach, then, when you finally do approach, she is quick to turn her back on you. The reason is that you did not exude confidence. Most women notice who is observing them. When you do not approach within seconds of spotting her, you might as well go home
  2. Lose the male pack. When out on the town, avoid being seen with the drunken testosterone pack of males. One of the biggest turn-offs for women is the "male pack" -- you with five of your buddies high-fiving each other, drinking and checking out other women. When you approach a woman with your buddies waiting on the sideline, she will impulsively reject you in front of the pack to avoid being scrutinized later. Break away from the male pack and find one other guy to go out on the town with. Save the male bonding for a sports bar.
  3. Dress for a strong appearance. Make sure you're not sabotaging your efforts with your attire. If you look like a slob, it will not matter what your body language says, because you will look like every other man who put no thought into what he was going to wear that night to attract women. Buy clothing that makes you stand out from the rest of the men. Find a cool pair of jeans and some great shirts that give you an edge, so when you walk in with the right body language, women will see you. Keep in mind that shoes are really important too, so find a few pairs that look great on you.
  4. Create a spark within her. Most men's conversation will center on being agreeable and non-confrontational in the hopes that she likes you. In the mind of a woman, playing it safe equals boring! You need to spark her interest by being a bit disagreeable. For example, you get into a conversation about summer movies and she says that "Spiderman III" was her favorite Spidey movie so far. Instead of being agreeable, look her right in the eye with confidence and tell her that she is so wrong -- the first Spiderman was superior. Then proceed to tell her why you think so. This will create a fun, friendly, flirtatious verbal sparring, which will create a spark in her brain. She will realize that you are not a pushover like most men and attraction will start to form in her head.
  5. Maintain some tension. Flirting with women is all about gathering information, so the better listener you are, the better your chances. When you call her, you will have more things to talk about. Before calling a woman, I think about everything she said and then I pick the most juicy topic or opinion and challenge her with it. For example, going back to the example of "Spiderman III," I would text her the next day: "I was thinking U + I need 2 re-watch Spiderman. U R so wrong. Name the time + place + I'll bring the DVD."
Above content are taken from the following website http://dating.personals.yahoo.com/singles/datingtips/11178/actions-speak;_ylc=X3oDMTFycm9uYmdkBF9TAzI3MTYxNDkEc2VjA2ZwX3RvZGF5BHNsawNhY3Rpb25zLXNwZWFrLWxvdWRlci10aGFuLXdvcmRz

Well for me I definitely hope to learn something from this and I believe what it says is very true and practical. 80 percent of human interaction are based on non-verbal body language, no wonder they always like to say 'Action speak louder than words!'

Back In Blogging

I'm back!!
It's been weeks since I last updated my blog.. So sorry.. It's like feeling too lazy to log into my account and update, not much interesting things to share and was having term test last week, don't really have much time to do other things apart from studying.
Anyway I'm back and this will be a long entry.

Ended my papers last Friday and my conclusion is 'Quite alright but still a bit sucks', however overall is still not bad I guess, hopefully the result will be fine..

Suppose to have a clubbing session at 'The Arena Student Party' last Friday night but most of my poly friends don't want to go. Feel a bit down because since that place opened, I been thinking of going there to take a look. Well looks like have to wait for another time again, the clubbing session for tomorrow is also postpone too, feel so sianz man..

Life is so weak sometimes, fall sick on last Thursday till now and I really hate the feeling of coughing or should I say I'm really scared of it. Reason is because the last time when I had cough, it lasted for around three months before I fully recovered! It was damn terrible and therefore I'm trying not get into that situation again. So please bless me from all these sickening shit !!

Some feelings and thoughts to share now...
What will you do when you feel down and empty in life?
Let it be? Trying to find another path in life?
So many decisions to make in life even when there's nothing left for you to choose..
Sometimes I really don't know why we have to force ourselves into many difficult situation, can't we just make everything so simple and easy?
Hey don't think I am talking like everything is really nothing, I'm just figuring out why we can't live a happier life when we can still choose to have it? These decisions in life is so tough sometimes..

Love life to me now is like so blank..
Lose a lot of motivation in this area now and keep having some wrong impression towards many Singapore girls too..
I really hate the issue regarding money.. well lots of things to comment when it comes to money.. It's feeling restless to talk about all these again.

Alright, enough of all these shits..
Anyway I'm having two weeks term breaks now and really want to make full use of the breaks to have some good rest before returning to school for some 'battles' again.
Next week is CHRISTMAS!! Monday night will chill out with some good friends and Tuesday accompany my mum to orchard for shopping and Christmas dinner too. This week will have mahjong session again, well I think I'm a bit addicted to this gambling game already but no worry as I never believe that betting/gambling will help me earn a lot. As a business person I believe in real investment alright..

Alright is time for good rest now.. Will blog again soon and hope my health will get better soon..

Once again not much interesting things to blog about, so I wanna share this song with you all.
The title is call '新不了情' and it was originally sang by 万芳 in the early 90's if I'm not wrong. Recently there's a famous singing competition call "Super Star Avenue(超級星光大道)" which was held in Taiwan. So if you all have watch this show before on Cable Tv or Youtube, definitely you will heard of these two guys 蕭敬騰 & 楊宗緯. After the last PK match where 楊宗緯 lose to 蕭敬騰 by the song 'Bei Pan', this time round they PK the song '新不了情' and once again recorded another new classic feeling in the song. Last week I also choose this song to sing when having KTV session with some Poly friends and for me, I really like the feeling when I appreciate and able to sing well with it's meaningful lyrics. It looks simple but expressed a great meaning of love....

Here's the video of the 'PK Match'
